Belblogs - Technorati ranks of the Belgian Blogs part 2
Earlier today I posted a message on this blog with a ranking of Belgian blogs according to their Technorati Rank and Authority. In the first list I only took the Belgian blogs writing in Dutch into account. The list in this message contains the Belgian blogs with posts written in English.
Technorati Authority is the number of blogs linking to a blog in the last six months. The higher the number, the more Technorati Authority the blog has. Technorati Rank is calculated based on how far a website is from the top. The blog with the hightest Technorati Authority is the #1 ranked blog. The smaller the Technorati Rank of a blog, the closer this blog is to the top. Technorati Authority and Rank are only calculated for blogs that are claimed at Technorati. The Belgian blog www.stew.be (which has by the way nothing to do with food in general of stews in particular) is not yet claimed. With over 355 blogposts linking to it, this blog would probably get a Technorati Authority around 100.

It can be heartbreaking indeed - you check your technorati linkpage, see all kinds of new links coming in - but your authority drops because something from 6 months ago drops out of the list :)
For now, it's simply a problem to find any way of measuring blogs without going into subjectivity.
To be honest, I dont even know how many readers we REALLY have. For instance, we have 5000 feedburner daily hits. But how often do people on average collect their feeds? I dont know....
